Purpose, Mission, Goals
The purpose of this project is to transform a golf facility into a community-focused, inclusive, and sustainable hub for youth development, senior engagement, and overall well-being, using golf and tennis as a tools for positive change. Our mission is to provide public and societal benefits through the lens of golf by offering youth development programs, community-building initiatives, and sustainable practices. We aim to make golf and tennis more accessible, inclusive, and affordable, while promoting the sports, values of discipline, sportsmanship, and community engagement.
This project will prioritize the below goals:
- Create welcoming, inclusive golf and tennis amenities for underserved communities.
- Develop youth-focused and senior-friendly programs promoting overall health and well-being through the sport.
- Expand availability of local services to support community events and foster social engagement.
- Nurture a healthy and vibrant visitor industry by integrating the golf amenities into a destination's tourism strategy.
- Ensure the long-term sustainability of the golf course and its positive impact on climate change.
Governance and Leadership
The Project Steering Committee will develop a governance framework outlining decision-making processes, reporting structures, and the roles and responsibilities of its members.
Steering Committee: Composed of key project stakeholders, including representatives from indigenous communities, academia, and industry, responsible for decision-making and oversight.
Directors: Provide industry expertise, community engagement, and oversight.
Offering next-gen sustainable governance through responsible investing frameworks, transparent reporting and regulatory compliance, Project DARP - Decentralized Asset Responsibility Protocol - has been selected to support the functions of:
- Secretary: DARP's back-office autonomous agents will maintain project records and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Responsibility Board: DARP members will validate outcomes and issue IFGG coins rewards request. Coins can be used to purchase services on DARP.
- Advisory Council: DARP's experts in sustainability, mental health, hospitality management, and indigenous community affairs will provide guidance and oversight.
- Controller: DARP's middle-office autonomous agents will be responsible for verifying portfolio assets, monitoring valuations and validating financial reporting.
Workforce Development
To create job opportunities and support the local economy, we plan to hire and train individuals for various roles including golf and tennis instructors, maintenance staff, event coordinators, and administrative positions. Approximately 30 full-time and part-time positions will be created to manage the amenities and engage with the community.

Targets and Milestones
General Outputs:
- Economic Impact: Boost local economies by attracting tourists and hosting tournaments, which bring in revenue for hotels, restaurants, and other businesses.
- Tourism and Destination Attraction: Attract tourists, as well as golf and tennis enthusiasts, making the amenities a valuable part of a region's tourism infrastructure.
- Community Spaces: Serve as community spaces for social events, charity tournaments, and gatherings in order to enhance the quality of life in a neighborhood.
Projected Outcomes:
- Mental Health: Golf is often considered a relaxing sport, as it takes place in a natural setting, allowing players to unwind and reduce stress. The social aspect of the game can also contribute to stress relief and increase mental health and well-being.
- Carbon Sequestration: Trees absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere and store it as carbon in their trunks, branches, and roots. This helps reduce the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, mitigating the effects of climate change.
- Air Quality Improvement: Trees help filter pollutants from the air, leading to improved air quality. This is especially important in urban or suburban areas.

Regular reports will be generated and shared with stakeholders, including donors, the board, and the community. These reports will include financial updates, program performance, and the progress towards achieving the project's goals and milestones.
