Purpose, Mission, Goals
Our purpose is to harness the power of science, innovation, and technology to empower indigenous communities and foster groundbreaking discoveries. This initiative will enable us to establish a state-of-the-art research facility equipped with cutting-edge resources, including supercomputing infrastructure, advanced laboratories, and manufacturing capabilities. The ultimate goal of this initiative is to drive research, education, and innovation, with a special focus on uplifting vulnerable communities.
The Ready Player Institute is on a mission to transform the scientific landscape for often overlooked communities. We aim to catalyze scientific progress and inclusivity, particularly benefiting indigenous communities through the following strategic goals:·
- Inclusive scientific participation and workforce development: Significantly broaden participation in operational research, education, and develop capacity-building opportunities for underrepresented workers.
- Collaboration and partnerships: Enhance best practices and share knowledge through partnerships with higher education institutions, government and industry experts.
- Diversification of semiconductor supply chains: Expand international semiconductor assembly, testing, and packaging capacity.
- Eradication of poverty and promotion of resilience: Leverage science and innovation to bridge the digital divide combat poverty and build resilient, democratic societies.
Governance and Leadership
The Project Steering Committee will develop a governance framework outlining decision-making processes, reporting structures, and the roles and responsibilities of its members.
Steering Committee: Composed of key project stakeholders, including representatives from Indigenous communities, academia, and industry, responsible for decision-making and oversight.
Directors: Provide industry expertise, community engagement, and oversight.
Offering next-gen sustainable governance through responsible investing frameworks, transparent reporting and regulatory compliance, Project DARP - Decentralized Asset Responsibility Protocol - has been selected to support the functions of:
- Secretary: DARP's back-office autonomous agents will maintain project records and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Responsibility Board: DARP members will validate outcomes and issue IFGG coins rewards request. Coins can be used to purchase services on DARP.
- Advisory Council: DARP's experts in sustainability, semiconductors, computer science, photonics, and indigenous community affairs will provide guidance and oversight.
- Controller: DARP's middle-office autonomous agents will be responsible for verifying portfolio assets, monitoring valuations and validating financial reporting.
Workforce Development
An estimated 30 direct jobs will be created in research, education, management, infrastructure development, and administration. The Program will prioritize qualified workers and graduates from marginalized and vulnerable groups including Indigenous, Hispanic, Veterans and foster youth. Additional jobs will be generated through project-related activities and economic growth in the region.
