Purpose, Mission, Goals
This project, "Connecting the Stars," aspires to bridge the gap between astrophysics research, technological advancements, and sustainable development. By following a strategic plan that encompasses workforce development and comprehensive reporting, this initiative aims to inspire interest and participation in telecommunications and astrophysics within underrepresented groups. Additionally, it seeks to partner with governments and higher education institutions, all while contributing to essential global causes such as climate change research, remote ocean monitoring, and expanding connectivity in isolated and least developed regions. The campaign's multifaceted approach also involves improving access to the internet with a telecommunications hub including satellite networks, cellular networks in rural areas and reducing internet service costs to make them more accessible to low-income individuals and families.
The purpose of this initiative is to foster interest, knowledge, and participation in astrophysics among underrepresented groups while contributing to global development. We are on a mission to partner with governments and higher education institutions to advance research and technology, particularly in the fields of climate change, remote ocean monitoring, and connectivity expansion. Our goals include:
- Inspire interest in astrophysics within underrepresented groups.
- Contribute to climate change research by sourcing relevant data.
- Monitor ocean temperatures and prevailing currents in remote and vulnerable areas.
- Enable broadband access in isolated and least developed countries.
- Improve internet, satellite networks, and cellular networks in remote and rural regions.
- Reduce the cost of internet services, making them more accessible to low-income individuals and families.
Governance and Leadership
The Project Steering Committee will develop a governance framework outlining decision-making processes, reporting structures, and the roles and responsibilities of its members.
Steering Committee: Composed of key project stakeholders, including representatives from Indigenous communities, academia, and industry, responsible for decision-making and oversight.
Directors: Provide industry expertise, community engagement, and oversight.
Offering next-gen sustainable governance through responsible investing frameworks, transparent reporting and regulatory compliance, Project DARP - Decentralized Asset Responsibility Protocol - has been selected to support the functions of:
- Secretary: DARP's back-office autonomous agents will maintain project records and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Responsibility Board: DARP members will validate outcomes and issue IFGG coins rewards request. Coins can be used to purchase services on DARP.
- Advisory Council: DARP's experts in sustainability, telecommunications, astrophysics, and indigenous community affairs will provide guidance and oversight
- Controller: DARP's middle-office autonomous agents will be responsible for verifying portfolio assets, monitoring valuations and validating financial reporting.
Workforce Development
This initiative anticipates creating approximately 200 jobs in the fields of astrophysics research, data analysis, network infrastructure development, satellite engineering, and remote sensing technologies. The Program will prioritize qualified workers and graduates from marginalized and vulnerable groups including Indigenous, Hispanic, Veterans and foster youth.
